Cleaning shutters, blinds and railings
What protects your windows catches dust, pollution and cobwebs before they do. We clean it slat by slat.

Every type of shutter has its own method
Painted wooden hinged shutters, so common on Toulouse houses, are washed with a soft sponge and a neutral product, with no powerful jet that would damage the paint or make the wood swell. Both sides are done, along with the ironwork, and we check that water doesn't sit in the joints.
A roller shutter is cleaned lowered, slat by slat, on its outer face and then its inner face where accessible. We also clean the side runners, where dust slows the shutter as it comes down. Metal louvred shutters need a brush or fine bristles between the slats before washing. Indoor slatted blinds are dusted, then wiped one slat after another.
Balcony railings (metal, glass or aluminium) complete the facade: handrail, balusters or glass panels, fixings. As with windows, we work within arm's reach, from the ground, a balcony or a stepladder; anything that needs a cherry picker or scaffolding is not part of our services.
Shutters and blinds: your questions
Do you take roller shutters down?
No. The shutter curtain is cleaned in place, lowered, on its accessible faces. Removing the housing is a job for an installer.
Can painted wooden shutters be washed?
Yes, with a soft sponge, a neutral product and little water. We avoid any pressure washing, which would lift tired paint.
What about glass balcony railings?
They're treated like a window: dusting, washing, squeegee, then the posts and fixings. We reach them from the balcony itself.
